Transferring Your Store's Template to Another Store

Both stores (the one from which you export and the one you will import it to) will need to be on a paid plan.

Exporting Your Theme

When transferring your store to another one, you will first need to export the template you would like to import on your other store. In order to do that, please follow these simple steps:

Step 1: Reach out to your EcomSolid Dashboard and locate in the "Theme Library" section the theme you have customized you would like to export.

Step 2: Press on "Action"  next to it in order to open the dropdown menu and press "Export".

Step 3: This will open a pop-up asking you to create a back up of your work. Click on "Export".

Step 4: You will be redirected to the "My Backup" page that can be found on the bottom left of your dashboard. Hover over the backup you would like to export and click on the share icon (three dots)  next to insert.

Step 5: This will open a pop-up window where you will have access to the link of your backup as well as the possibility to configure a password to protect your template in case someone unwanted has access to it.

This is it, your theme and settings have been exported successfully. Copy the link and you are ready to import it inside your new store.

Importing Your Theme

Step 1: Open the link you received when exporting your theme into your web browser and you will be redirected to a custom page with the main information of your template.

Step 2: Enter your Shopify Store domain in order to import it inside the store you want.

Step 3: You will be redirected to the "My Backup" page and you should see your new template appearing there. Press on "Insert" and the template will be added to your store. From there, you will be able to customize it and use it.
