How to transfer your store's template to another store

In this article, you’ll learn how to transfer a theme template to different stores which helps you save much time for redesigning your pages.
Transferring template is not available for the Launch plan.  However, for the first 20 days using the Growth Trial, you still can enjoy this feature. To explore more about the EcomSolid pricing plan and choose your best fit, click here.

Export the Template

Step 1: Go to the EcomSolid Dashboard > Themes > Draft Theme and locate your preferred theme template to transfer. 


Step 2: Click on the 3-dot button and select “Export"



Step 3: There will be a pop-up asking you to confirm that a backup will be created to transfer to other stores. Hit "Export"


Transfer the template

Step 4: After exporting the template, you will be directed to the Theme Template > Your Template section. Hover over the template you would like to transfer and click on the Share icon.



Step 5: A pop-up window will provide you with a sharable link. Hit “Copy link” to save it to your clipboard.



Toggle the “Use password” switch if you would like to request a password to access the link. Feel free to edit the password as you want.


Step 6: Access the link from a new web browser. The opened window will ask you to enter your destination store domain. Please enter your store domain and hit “Continue”.


The store domain should be inputted as “”. Please do not include the “https://” or any special characters. 

Import Your Theme Template

Step 7: Next, you will be redirected to the Templates > Your Themes section of the destination page. The transferred template should be located here. 



In case you’re not directed to this section or you don’t find your transferred template there, you may have entered the incorrect domain in the previous step. Please check again or contact our support team for further assistance.


Step 8: Hover over the template and select ”Insert”. After that, you will see a duplication of the template available in the Theme Library section of the destination page. 



That’s it! Your shared templates are now available for use in multiple stores in just a few steps.
