For the Header
Open the customization panel
EcomSolid offers a wide selection of Header presets in the Editor. Depending on the design, each preset’s navigation may vary from one to another. However, the customization steps are the same.
Step 1: Go to the EcomSolid Dashboard and enter the Editor.
Step 2: In the Editor, click on the Header section to start configuring the menus. If there isn’t a header section, add one to the theme.
Step 3: On the left sidebar, scroll down to find the Menu zone, hit the purple “Edit Menu” button in this zone to open the customization panel.
*Note: Some presets contain more than one menu, check for all “Edit Menu” buttons to find the one you’d like to edit.
Create a new menu
To create a menu, simply put in a name for the menu in the bar, and hit “Create”. This name can be changed later on if needed.
Create a new submenu
To create a submenu, we can duplicate another menu, rename it and then drag it to its new position.
In the example below, we’ll create a submenu called “Privacy” under the main menu “Policies”.
Step 1: Duplicate any existing submenu or menu and rename it to “Privacy”
Step 2: Drag and drop the “Privacy” submenu and nest it under the “Policies” main menu.
A multi-level drop-down menu has been successfully created.
If you would like to create a sub-submenu, follow the same steps. Pay attention to the peak preview to ensure the item is aligned correctly.
For the Footer
The steps to configure the Footer menus are the same as the Header, with the exception of submenus.
